Hooded eyes; treat them with surgery or with filler / fat

I've seen an increased awareness in the hooded eye issue these days.  Magazines are showing celebrity before and after blepharoplasty shots and the news is covering "the latest in non-invasive treatments for the saggy eye".  Today we are very fortunate to have alternatives that didn't exist just a few years ago.  Although a bleph is going to achieve the best result no question, the real issue for patients is downtime, risk and pain.  If you are looking for an alternative, look no further than a needle.  In one 30 minute session, you physician can plump up the area under and over your brow bone to achieve a more youthful and full appearance.  This can help with patients that have small hooding but if you have the type that interferes with your vision, surgery may be your only option.  Injection brow lifts can be done with hyaluronic acid fillers, or even your own fat.  By doing a small fat graft under local anesthetic (I take fat from somewhere else in your body) and placing your own harvested fat back into your brow area, we can lift, smooth and reshape the contour of this area.  Now all you need is a little neutotoxin to smooth your crows feet and Latisse to lengthen your lashes ... wow, your peepers are red carpet ready!
